Directed by "Star Trek" has planned movie for Half-Life and Portal

The director, JJ Abrams, wants to make a movie based on the Half-Life and Portal. He said this at a DICE conference.

The director spoke at conference with the president of Valve, Gabe Newell. He added that they are discussing the idea for the film and plan to bring to the project a screenwriter. The details of the project were not disclosed.

Abrams also said that he and Valve are working together on a game. The director said that the game will be completely original and it won’t be a continuation any existing Valve series.

Valve releases games of Half-Life series since 1998. Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the last part of this adventure, which was released in 2007. Half-Life 3, the next part of the story, is one of the most anticipated games. Events take place in a series of Portal in the same universe as the Half-Life.

JJ Abrams is known as the creator of the TV series "Alias", "Lost" and "Fringe." He worked on two films based on the "Star Trek". The first movie came out in 2009, and the premiere of the second movie takes place in May 2013.
